    It starts from Milan, at the international food and wine hub "Identità Golose", with the presence

    by the Councilor for Tourism, Crafts and Commerce of the Sardinia Region, Gianni Chessa,

    the spring promotional program "Insula - Sardinia Quality World" a taste of what Sardinia offers,

    through experiential tours, tastings, dances and traditional costumes of high craftsmanship.

    Unquestionably at the top of the rankings of the most popular seaside destinations,

    Sardinia is much more and has decided to promote itself to operators,

    travel agencies, restaurateurs and media with a passionate and tasty tour.

     

     

     

    Tourism Department of the Sardinia Region and C.I.P.N.E.S.

    (Provincial Industrial Consortium North East Sardinia), implementing body of the program,

    they jointly developed a territorial marketing program called

    "Insula - Sardinia Quality World" aimed at enhancing and making the Sardinian territory known,

    its biodiversity, production chains, crafts, fashion, art and design.

    In practice, its heritage, which is not only the sea and is not accessible only in the summer months.

     

     

    “Our commitment to promoting Sardinia in Italy and around the world continues.

    Sardinia has sea points recognized as among the most beautiful in the world, but the hinterland

    it is equally varied and fascinating, worth exploring in all seasons.

    With Insula - Sardinia Quality World we set ourselves the goal of collecting

    the excellences of our land and promote them through a traveling tour that takes us

    led primarily to Milan, a destination of great strategic interest for us since with

    the other Lombard cities are in the lead for tourist flows. The roadshow will continue in the next few

    months and will see us involved in another 11 stages in Italy and Europe "

    During the evening in Milan there was no lack of opportunity to discover the aromas and flavors of Sardinia,

    through a journey into taste led by Salvatore Camedda - executive chef and patron

    of the Somu Restaurant, 1 Michelin star, at the Club Hotel in Baja Sardinia -

    which brought to the table a taste of some excellences of the territory, reworked with skill and technique.

     

    The culinary aspect was not simply a corollary for the guests but a focus of the Insula project.

    The Observatory on Italian Food and Wine Tourism of the University of Bergamo,

    as well as the World Food Travel Association, an association of reference worldwide,

    found that 49% of people choose their destination with this criterion.

    Among the thematic itineraries of the Insula project, the food and wine one is of great importance.

    The goal is to convey identity and potential

    of Sardinia, land of wonders.
