An important synergy between culture and enogastronomic tourism of our land, s
uch an important combination of values To export throughout the world.
The Foundation is born to enhance and promote the music and traditional culture of Sardinia,
an amazing heritage who Maria Carta (famous Sardinian singer) has made known to the people outside our island.

In memory of the unforgettable singer, the Foundation aims to promote the study and dissemination of
Sardinian ancient and modern traditional dance and chants,
Related to the contemporary society development trend, highlighting the
culture and economy of whole Sardinia.

Maria Carta, during her artist carreer years, renewed and highlighted the charming tradition of Sardinian folkloristic chants,
music and and traditions, succeeding to share the interests towards all Sardinian cultural expressions, whom nowadays are appreciated not only
in Sardinia but also in Europe and in the Mediterrenean area.
Maria Carta, in those years, sang and interpreted an immense cultural heritage,
always widespread through the villages and shepherds of Sardinia.
Her merit was to highlight the cultural richness, in a moment of Sardinia high emigration rate,
to sing with determination and bravery, with her unforgivable
beautiful voice.

The Foundation’s intent it’s to encourage every activity connected to the Sardinian folkloristic traditions,
to study all the artistic and socio – cultural transformations, to promote and support the quality of the events, to be the benchmark
for all the people who highlight in any artistic ways, the beauty of Sardinia’s Tradition.
In this regard, the Foundation is supported by a Research Center, and a Museum
dedicated to the career of Maria Carta, and work also through a Scientific Council as
an important promotion tool for the immense traditional and cultural heritage of Sardinia
