The macarrones of the Durum Wheat Supply Chain are a durum wheat semolina pasta obtained from the processing of 100% Sardinian cereals, coming from the production areas of Marmilla and Sinis. The wheat, the raw material of this pasta, is grown and processed entirely in Sardinia, to offer a fresh, typical and genuine product.
It's a typical Sardinian semolina pasta. Delicious on its own or simply served with olive oil, sea salt and a sprinkle of pecorino grated cheese. Delicious with soups, or in combination with fresh vegetables and herbs as a side dish or a light meal
Inspired by home-made foods from ancient traditions, Sardinian gnocchetti can be seasoned with tomato sauce, meat sauce, sauces of all kinds, sauces, fresh or creamy vegetables, seafood and fresh fish, or simply with extra virgin olive oil and grated Pecorino.
