    Insula is the promotional network of the Sardinia region promoted by the C.I.P.N.E.S., a public body that through its division Agrifood and Territorial Marketing promotes the development of high quality productive chains of Sardinia, paying particular attention to the promotion and distribution of products with a high component of craftsmanship, certified products (DOC, DOP, IGO, BIO) and the productions registered in the National Register of Traditional Food Products.

    INSULA selections include a wide range of the best productions of Sardinia (pasta, bakeries, confectionery, jams,
    honeys, oils, vegetable preserves, fish, mineral waters, wines, typical liqueurs, and much more), through the productive knowledge of our associates we will accompany you on a journey to discover the flavors of food production at the base of the Sardinian-Mediterranean diet.

    In Sardinia life has more taste...!

    - This magical island in the middle of the Mediterranean is home to a long-lived... Sardinia is one of the five areas of the world called "Blue Zones", with the highest concentration of centenarians. Together with the Japanese island of Okinawa, Sardinia has the highest ratio of inhabitants to over one hundred: 22 per 100,000 inhabitants, against a world average of 8 per 100,000 inhabitants. Several studies claim that the longevity of the Sardinian people is linked to a mix of factors: genetics, low population density, lifestyles and a diet rich in wholesome foods;

    - the basic products of the Sardinian-Mediterranean diet are rich in products rich in nutraceutical properties, some examples: sheep meat and pecorino cheese produced with wild pasture milk are rich in CLA, (conjugated linoleic acid), a valid ally against hypercholesterolemia; the probiotic properties of our fermented milks; the hepatoprotective properties of the artichoke; 

    the antioxidant properties of our red wines and oils; the anti-inflammatory properties of saffron;

    - Sardinia has a great wine culture. Sardinian is the oldest grape of the Mediterranean, 15,000 seeds of Vernaccia and Malvasia dating back to about 3,000 years ago were found in the well inserted inside the nuragic site of Sa Osa (Cabras).
